Oh my,,,,forgive me for taking so long to write back!! Your email got misplaced and I just saw it again after months!!!!!!! Your work is quite provocative. I like the forms and the contrast between the smooth, elegant objects and the aggressive, uncomfortable, and apparently arrogant nature of the bases. There is certainly a message there but only seeing the pieces in photos and not being able to experience them in the context of more work and in person, it's hard to interpret. Tell me more about what you are doing.

Hamme HAMME-Dimitri Cambier (47), Hamme late October for ten days in the ban held by angels in shops and in public places, lets get back. The Flemish Community bought ten of his works. 'Working with sober and simple earthy colours is with me in the fingers. I get a lot of inspiration from my area, especially near the Old Durme and scheldeboorden in Den Bunt. Each creation has its own story. Clay stirs me and makes me think. We have a love-hate relationship that I no longer can miss. ' The artist is daily at work in his atelier La Maison Bleue to Kaaldries. 'I make especially with the hand accumulated usage ceramics and unique works of art. I venture to turn work by means of a shovel disk. I have an own gas furnace and heating also regularly raku, the Japanese way to ceramics baking. My works are glazed with kleislib colored or and I also use sludge from the Old Durme. ' Its unique art objects enjoy more and more interest, what may be evident from recent exhibitions, among other things, Netherlands. In January attracts Cambier with a number of works again on the northern border to Weert. Also for an art project in the Antwerp Public street was the Hamse ceramist committed.

© Jan Van de Velde DENDERMONDE - De Hamse beroepskeramist Dimitri Cambier heeft een groot hart met heel wat ader- en slagaderpijpjes geschonken aan het Dendermondse ziekenhuisAZ Sint-Blasius. Het kunstwerk was eerder al te zien tijdens de tentoonstelling 'Als de rook om je hoofd is verdwenen' van de rookstopcampagne, opgezet door het ziekenhuis in samenwerking met de huisartsenkring en het stadsbestuur. Vandaag verhuist de expositie naar het Dendermondse stadhuis, waar een evenement plaatsvindt om de bevolking aan te moedigen met roken te stoppen, van 14.30 tot 16.30 en van 19.30 tot 21.30 uur in de Ros Beiaardzaal. Vooraf inschrijven is niet nodig. De deelnemers worden nadien uitgenodigd voor een receptie. . 'Ik was gemotiveerd om aan dit initiatief deel te nemen met een kunstwerk', zegt Cambier. 'Mijn inbreng werd heel positief onthaald, zodat ik niet twijfelde om dit hart in keramiek te schenken aan het ziekenhuis.'
